Botanical Beauty
We’ve all heard to avoid harmful chemicals when it comes to skincare—but what are the benefits of botanicals, and what should we be looking for in our products?
Botanical ingredients, or plant-derived additives, are known for their healing and medicinal properties.
✔️They fight premature aging.
✔️They prevent inflammation.
✔️They promote hydration.
Botanicals have been part of beauty routines for years! We can all learn a little something from Cleopatra, who only used natural ingredients as part of her beauty regimen. In the past few years, there has been an increased awareness of what’s in the products we use every day. We have learned that many popular beauty brands have been using synthetic ingredients that do more harm than good. Just as feeding our bodies with natural ingredients may benefit our general health, feeding our skin with natural ingredients may benefit our skin health.
These days it feels like everyone has an elaborate skincare routine, but it can be hard to know where to start and exactly which ingredients to pay attention to.
I recently teamed up with @piercemattiepr to gift one of you their 2021 Botanical Beauty Boxes. This box featured products that prioritize using the best ingredients nature has to offer and that highlight the beneficial aspects of botanicals in beauty products. I have linked the products below so you can check them out and give them a try even if you didn’t win the giveaway!

skincare tip of the day: Don’t use too many products!
Layering on multiple skincare products all at once can be harsh on the skin, resulting in more breakouts and clogged pores.
