Party Eyes Gift Set

Decided to dress up my eyes with Clinique's new Party Eyes Gift Set. I am not going to lie I was a little nervous about the dark tones. I usually don't wear eye shadow, I normally stick to eyeliner unless I get my make up professionaly done. Eye shadow is something that you need to practice and improve with time. I wanted to share few pictures of my first time experimenting with this palette.

The set includes 14 dark earth tone shades. One thing I loved about this was the different finishes it came with: matte, satin, shimmer and sparkle. I noticed that you need to really layer the matte colors and the sparkle ones were the most pigmented. I ended up using 6 different colors, I got a little excited and carried away but was happy with the results.  If you are a eye shadow beginner like me I highly recommend this palette. The colors are light so it allows you to layer and experiment without having to scrub off too hard. This pallete took my soft smokey eye to a new level! From the frosty white shimmer to the dark navy sparkle shade, its everything I need for a great light smokey eye!

I took advantage of this moment to show off my new 3D Magnetic Cat Eyes Nail Gel manicure and my new fuzzy sweater from Guess. I got it from Bloomies on 59th Street the other day because leopard (duh).
